Hi everyone, it is beginning to feel quite springlike here this week with some lovely sunny days opening up the crocuses in the garden, and daffodils ready to pop open as well. It has also been a bit warmer although it still feels cold out because of the wind.
The Challenge at Seize The Birthday this week is Masculine so as it was my Grandson's birthday on Monday I thought I would show you the card I made for him and enter the challenge. I used some really nice pearlised card in red and dark brown. The base card is an ivory A6 tent fold, and I cut the brown card to fit the front of it, I embossed the top section only, using a Crafts Too embossing folder which doesn't have a name on it, but I bought it for the abstract design pattern thinking it it would make good backgrounds for mens cards. I then used the red card to cut the Memory Box birthday die, and stuck it onto the brown panel. I cut the letters for his name from an offcut of the brown card with Memory Box dies ( I think ). I used Glossy Accents to stick tiny star sequins for the dots over the i's, and then added a few larger stars for decoration. I finished the card by sticking a fine gold peel off border all around the edge.
Thank you for visiting here today and for your comments which are all really appreciated.
Jean x
I love using this die, but never thought to add the name like this. It looks brilliant! The colours you've chosen are perfect for a masculine card. x
