Hello to every one, it has been a little while since I posted anything here, the reason being that I have a new computer and I am struggling to get to grips with a different system. This is the latest card I have made, and I have just about managed to crop it to post here. It is for my brother-in-law's birthday tomorrow. I used a Hobby Arts stamp which I bought last year to make Christmas cards with as it is meant to be a snowy scene. I think I managed to make one card with it and while doing so I thought that by using different colours it could be used for an alternative occasion. I stamped it onto a snippet of white card Memento Rich Cocoa ink and coloured it with Coloursoft pencils. I added some flying birds with an Inkylicious stamp, and used a Chocolate Baroque border stamp to add a little grassy interest to the foreground. I trimmed the image and matted it onto snippets of dark green and light green card. The base card is a white 15cm. square, and I stuck a piece of designer paper from a Lilly Of The Valley Country Lady pad to left hand side and fixed the image panel over it. For the stamping on the right I used a Chocolate Baroque pussy willow, stamped with the same brown ink, stamped twice without re-inking and added a little colour with a pencil. The birthday greeting is another CB stamp.

Beautiful card Jean - and before I read any of your words I actually thought from the thumbnail it was going to be an Easter card. Really versatile stamp.

I love the sheep scene, Jean! It could be here! There's a cottage just across the fields from our house which is very similar, and the first of this year's lambs have recently appeared! Your background is very pretty too, and complements the scene perfectly. I think anyone, male or female, would be delighted to receive this lovely card. Thank you for sharing it with us at Stamping Sensations.

Glad you are making progress with the new pc. It takes time- lots of frustration sometimes too. Good idea to change up your colors for this sweet stamp as it works perfectly on this card too. Love the pencils...such a soft look. Like the way you've done the backgrounds and added in the floral spray. Well done! TFS & Hugs
