A Man's Card

Here is a card that I made for my BIL's birthday. The stamp I used is from Hobby Arts, stamped with Black Memento ink, and coloured with Derwent Coloursoft pencils, and using Sansodor to blend the colours. I trimmed this close to the image and matted it onto some gold coloured pearlised card. I cut another piece of this card just a little smaller than my 5"x 7" white base card, and then cut some brown card smaller again and embossed it with a Stampin Up EF, Stylish Stripes. I stuck these two pieces together and wound some bakers twine around them before sticking them to the card. I tied a small bow on the right hand side and then fixed the image panel with foam pads. I stamped the greeting onto a scrap of white card and mounted it onto matching gold card and fixed it at the base of the embossed panel. I have no idea what make this stamp is, it is one of a collection of clear greetings and sentiments that are kept for general use at my Wednesday morning crafting with friends sessions.
