Here is a card that I made for a neighbour who was celebrating his 70th
birthday last week. I know that his main interest is rambling but as I haven't got any stamps for that and I know that he goes to London quite a lot, both for business and pleasure, I decided to use these stamps from Crafty Individuals. I stamped them with Onyx Black Versafine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I trimmed them close to the image and added some colour with Distress inks. I think I used tea dye, bundled sage and stormy sky. I then mounted them onto white card leaving a small border all round them.I cut a red mat and mounted that also onto white with a narrow edge, and then fixed to a navy blue card.
The images were then mounted with foam pads onto the red. A visit to London was stamped onto white card and cut out, edged with the black ink and fixed in the centre with pads.I wrapped three narrow ribbons across the lower part of the card and mounted the greeting over them. The greeting was computer generated and cut out with a nestability die, and then I drew round the outside edge of the die onto red card to create the mat and cut it out by hand.
I am entering this for Fashionable Stamping Challenges; Cities of the World.

Super layering & so effective with your use of the patriotic colours. The colouring of the images is superbly gentle & I love the way you used those ribbons.
