Hi, I'm here with my final Rudolph Day card for this year. I chose to use a recently bought Imagination Crafts stencil and Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium. The card I used is very dark green to show up the sparkle nicely. In order to use different colours I needed to do quite a bit of masking off of the various areas, and apply one colour at a time. This was a bit of a faff, but using low tack stencil tape helped as I was able to reuse it a few times. As the Sparkle Medium needs time to dry before adding another colour I made three at the same time. When all was dry I trimmed the panel down a bit and stamped and gold embossed the Greeting which is from a set of seasonal stamps that were free with The Creative Stamper magazine. Next I layered it onto gold mirri card before sticking to a DL sized ivory base card.
I am popping over to Scrappy Mo's blog Scraps of Life by Scrappy Mo to enter The Rudolph Day Challenge - Make a Christmas card.
Thank you for taking time to visit here today and for your comments which are really appreciated.

This bauble stencil is so pretty Jean and love the gorgeous colours of texture paste you have used and the dark green background and gold mirri show it up beautifully. x

This is absolutely beautiful Jean. Who doesn't love a bit of glitter at Christmas and I love your traditional colour choice of red, gold and green. The image stands out so beautifully against the black background too. Happy crafting, Sandra x

I never did officially get over to Rudolph to browse, just hoping I'd catch some friends as I visited folks. So I missed this stunner. It's a pretty stencil, and oh did you rock it. Brilliant idea to have 3 of these going with the drying time, and I love the brightness of the greens, reds and sparkling gold. Not sure the Sparkle Medium is easily available in the USA. Great job on this card, Jean. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteOh Jean this is simply superb, well done, dedication plus in this card, so glittery and yummy!

Very pretty! You were smart to think of making three while you waited for the colours to dry. Good thinking!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the November Rudolph Days Challenge.
