Pink Tulips

Hi everyone, I have another birthday card to show you today. I
used a small set of stamps from Chocolate Baroque called Tulip Script which contains both of these images. First I stamped the main image onto white card with Memento Back Tuxedo ink and coloured it with Promarkers. I then mounted it onto first dark green card and then onto some light pinky lilac card. The base card is a white 5"x 7" folded card, and I used the outline tulip image to stamp randomly on the front. I used Brilliance Ivy Green ink for the leaves and stems and a Milled Lavender Distress Marker for the flower.I added a matching ribbon with a little flower charm hanging on it before placing the image panel with foam tape. The birthday greeting is from Chocolate Baroque clear stamp set Amazing Birthday.
As usual the matting mounts came from the snippets box so I will be popping over to link this up at Pixies Snippets Playground, where I gather there may be some ark building going on!!
I am also entering this at Great Impressions Challenge - Floral Images

  3. Love the floral design with the script...saves all the trouble of masking...which I have read about but never done!

This is such a soft, pretty card.

  11. Your addition of the charm is a lovely touch & I love the way it picks up the greens. Very elegant with the background stamping allowing the focal image to shine. It's making me hanker after spring.

  12. Another lovely floral, and so well presented the way you did the stamping & matting. Love those CB images, and your coloring technique is marvelous. Also liked the way you did the outline stamping on the border of the card. The pretty ribbon & charm added so much interesting detail as well. TFS & Hugs

  13. Jean, it seems as though nearly every area of the UK is getting that drenching rain. I saw an MSN article about flooding around the Thames, and some of the other bloggers in different areas are dealing with rain & storm force gales. Glad you had a bit of sunshine to brighten up your day...hopefully it will slack off soon. Before we know it, Spring will be here. Not long now. Hugs & stay dry & warm.
