Christmas Angel

I'm here with a quick post this morning so that I can just about squeeze in through the gates of the pixies playground before they close up for this week. I made ten of these cards over the last couple of days and as it was dark last night I couldn't get a decent photo so had to wait till this morning. The angel and flourish are Penny Black stamps and the greeting is Chocolate Baroque. The stamping is all done with Memento black ink and coloured with Promarkers. I also used a gold gel pen to highlight the flourish, and a little star dust Stickles on the wings. I stamped all the angels on pieces of ivory card from the snippets box and the mats from more snippets of blue glitter card and some from blue mirri card. The glitter one made a better photo. The oval dies I used are Go Kreate. I made an awful ink mark on the top corner of the first card I made and decided the only solution was to cut it off which I did using a corner rounder. I quite liked the result and so did on all of them .Right I am dashing off now to link up with Pixies Snippets Playground.
Thank you for visiting and for your your comments which are much appreciated.

  1. This is such a lovely card Jean, with those soft touches of blue and gold and then the nice bold blue glitter card highlighting the angel. Beautiful!

  2. Oh Jean, this is beautiful.I love the soft blues you used for the angel, and the darker blue surround is a perfect finish to the image. Isn't it funny, we always see things made by others and end up adding stamps to our wish lists :)

  5. Lovely Lean. I like all the angel cards but this is one of my favourite stamped ones. Well done on the 'batch bake'. I like having a production line going like that, and it always feels good at the end when you have a whole pile of new cards. Kate x

  9. Such a beautiful angel card. I love the blue glitter oval behind your focal image. I think I purchased this stamp on my recent travels, and you've given me some fantastic inspiration with this beautiful one you've shared. The blues are just perfect on this sweet image. TFS & Hugs
