Plenty Of Bling For Rudolph

Well here we are it's the 25th of the month again which means it's Rudolph Day on Sarn's blog Stamping for Pleasure and here is my offering this time.
I have used one of my newest Chocolate Baroque Christmas stamps. There are several to choose from, I have this lovely bauble one and a Poinsettia one. They are huge stamps about 5.5 inches square, I have cut the sides off this time (from the image not the stamp!!! ) and just used the middle part. I began by stamping onto white card with Versamark ink and embossed with WOW gold embossing powder, and then coloured with Promarkers. When the colouring was done I filled in the background with a very pale marker, and trimmed the sides, and then mounted onto gold mirri card. I cut some of this lovely red glitter card to fit the front of my base card and wrapped the Christmassy ribbon round it in both directions and the stuck it to the card. I cut circles for the greeting with Nestability dies and coloured the centre to match the main image and stamped and embossed the greeting which is also from Chocolate Baroque.I then added the coloured panel to the card and then the  greeting on thin foam pads and tied a short length of ribbon at the side.
Now I am going to link this up at Stamping for Pleasure.
Thank you for looking and for your kind comments which I really appreciate.

  1. Hi Jean . . . thanks for playing along with Rudolph Day again. WOW - the detail on the baubles is just so intricate. I clicked on the picture to enlarge it and your colouring and embossing is amazing. Before I took read how you made the card and took a closer look at the photo, I thought you'd stamped on various designer papers and then fussy cut round them and stuck them to your card!

    LOVE this brilliant bauble card.

  2. The lovely ribbon really pulls the colours together & is striking in the way it makes the eyes focus upon the holly & berry baubles.

  5. Hi Jean

What a fabulous card! Crumbs, it's so well done, hard to comprehend how much work and care you put into those baubles. If you ever want to come and play in the Snippets Playground we'd love to see you there. It's a bit mad but we do have a lot of fun :)
