An Angel For Rudolph

I can't believe it's got around to the 25th of the month again already, but the calendar tells me it has, and that means it's Rudolph  Day at Sarn's blog Stamping For Pleasure.
This little card is only just over 4" square. Last year I bought a lot of envelopes this size with the idea of making smaller Christmas cards but most of my cards ended up bigger so they didn't get used.I thought I'd try again this year and dug out some of my older stamps to use as well. I have had them so long I don't know what make they are as I used not to label them. The little angel is stamped with black Memento ink and coloured with promarkers, then cut out.I used Go-Kreate nested dies to cut the wavy squares, one with white card and the larger one with some gold glitter card I found in my stash.
I stamped the holly sprays with Peeled Paint distress ink and added the red berries with a Barn Door Distress marker. The glitter card was self adhesive which was handy and I placed it diagonally on the card. I sponged round the edge of the white mount with a little Tumbled glass DI before adding to the card. The angel is fixed with foam pads.
I am off now to link this up to Sarn's blog, do pop over and see what the others have made.

  1. Hi Jean . .. LOVE the look of this sparkly little angel card. Thanks for letting us know how you did the holly and berries. Very effective.

Thanks for joining in with Rudolph Day again.

  2. I love this little angel Jean. It's a Judikins stamp by the way. A lovely little card. I have some of the little envelopes left too so I ought to use them up. You've also my favourite holly stamp which is by Penny Black. I've probably used that more than any other stamp in my collection. Kate xx

  3. This looks lovely with your soft inking around the edges of the image panel. The holly branches look terrific the way they are arranged with the die-cut panels. Cute, classy & Christmassy!

  4. This is so adorable, love the design and image.

  5. Wonderful card jean and love the layout/ stamp.. I have stamps from early 90's when started and lot of them are wooden but "no name" was way it was back then so maybe that's like yours.
Only too happy to link over like to be an encouragement in return. Glad you liked my tip post. If you are newish to some things also have tab with tips and techniques on my blog as learnt a lot from others when moved on to embossing machine and so many other methods like to keep it copied there for others and for me too :D God bless, Shaz in Oz.x

  6. Awwww. so pretty! love the shot of glimmer with that beautiful metallic sparkle!

  7. THis is so adorable with that darling little angel! I love all the sparkle too! I rarely make square cards because they're extra postage to mail, but I love to see them and create them :)

  8. Ahhhh your little angel is so cute!! I've got some sticky backed glitter paper in my stash too - thanks for the reminder! So much easier to cut than glitter card! Happy Rudolph Day! Karen x

  9. Hi Jean, I'm late in commenting, but finally got rountoit. Love this little angel on your so pretty card. I've got this same one, don't know the maker either. You've colored him up so nicely and loved the diecuts framing him. The holly was a perfect finishing touch. Really adorable card. TFS
